2. Hosting via Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps

Purpose: This website is provided through Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. The static content is delivered to your browser through the Azure delivery network. When you visit, technically necessary connection data is generated, such as IP address, date and time, the page requested and browser details (server logs). It is required to deliver the pages and to keep the service secure and stable.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website).

Retention: Server logs are kept only as long as needed for operation and security. The provider sets the specific periods.

Recipients: Microsoft as the provider of the hosting service. Processing outside the European Union cannot be ruled out. According to Microsoft, transfers to third countries rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

3. Contact form

Purpose: If you use the contact form, we process what you enter: your interests (Product, Branding, Website, Marketing), name, email address, your message and your consent. We use it to answer your enquiry and to arrange an initial call.

Process: The details are sent to an Azure Function. The function forwards them through Microsoft Graph as an email to a Microsoft 365 mailbox of Emporion Innovations GmbH. The function does not store enquiries. Its logs contain only status, duration and error code, no form data. Enquiries exist only in our Microsoft 365 mailbox. We do not send you an automatic confirmation email.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry aims at a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR based on the consent you give in the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

Retention: We keep your enquiry as long as it is needed to handle it. After that we delete it, subject to statutory retention duties.

Recipients: Microsoft as the provider of Azure and Microsoft 365 (processor). Whether and on what basis data may reach third countries depends on our agreements with Microsoft.

4. Contact by phone and email

Purpose: If you call us or write us an email, we process your contact details and the content of your message to handle your request.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract or pre-contractual measures are concerned, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).

Retention: As long as needed to handle the request, then deletion, subject to statutory retention duties.

5. Appointment booking via Microsoft Bookings

Purpose: On this website we link to a booking page of Microsoft Bookings. The page is not embedded. Only when you click the link do you leave our website, and your browser connects to Microsoft. We process the data you enter there, such as name, email address and preferred time, to arrange the appointment and keep it in our calendar.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (arranging an appointment as a pre-contractual measure).

Retention: As long as needed to hold and follow up the appointment, then deletion, subject to statutory retention duties.

Recipients: Microsoft as the provider of Microsoft 365 and Bookings. Processing outside the European Union cannot be ruled out. Microsoft’s privacy notices apply.

6. Audience measurement with Google Analytics 4

Purpose: We measure the use of this website with Google Analytics 4 to improve content and to understand which pages and functions are used, for example submitting the form or clicking the booking link. The service loads only after you have consented to the “Statistics” category in the banner. Without consent, no measurement takes place and no connection to Google is made. Advertising features, Google signals and personalised advertising are disabled.

Provider and recipients: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google LLC (USA) may be involved as a further recipient. A transfer of data to the USA therefore cannot be ruled out. Google’s privacy notices apply.

Cookies: _ga and _ga_<ID> (identifier to tell visitors and sessions apart).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG (your consent). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future through “Cookie settings” in the footer. On withdrawal we remove the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies and reload the page.

Retention: According to the settings in Google Analytics.

Storing your choice: Your choice in the banner is stored in your browser’s localStorage under the key emporion_cookie_consent for 12 months. This is technically necessary so that we can respect your decision (section 25(2) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. Fonts and media

The fonts, images and videos used on this website are delivered from our own server. For fonts and media there is no connection to Google or other font or media providers, and no personal data is passed to third parties for this. Audience measurement with Google Analytics is separate and described in section 6.

8. Your rights and right to lodge a complaint

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). To do so, contact info@emporion.technology.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority at your place of residence. The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
